Cynthia Rohrbach
Earth Science Teacher (9-12)

I’m Cynthia Rohrbach, high school Earth Science teacher, back at The Farm School again where I taught science in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. I was also administrator for 7 years while teaching. I took a long break to get my Masters Degree in Biology at MTSU, then worked for TN Department of Environment and Conservation for 12 years. Since retiring from the State, I’ve volunteered at The Farm School for several years, bringing lessons about our local creeks, ponds, the prairie barrens, birds, trees, amphibians and reptiles. I believe it is crucial for our students to understand the natural world around us so they will love and care for it, starting at a young age. That is my hope and is one reason I have come back to teach at The Farm School again. Also I want to help the students be prepared for life after The Farm School, so they can be the best they can be and a force for good in the world. Thanks for having me back!
